Weetwood Moor - Gorsebush Rock

Cup mark surrounded by elongated rings

This penannular (gapped ring) appears elongated and ‘pear’-shaped compared to others at Weetwood.

There appears to be a greater proportion of pennanulars at Weetwood than other at rock art areas in Northumberland. This might reflect differences in the groups of people who made the carvings or that they were made at different times.
